Get your boots on, gather the family and enjoy a walk over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct during the festive period, prior a temporary closure in the new year.
From 8am on Monday 6th January 2025, the aqueduct will be closed to boats, and the towpath will also be closed to pedestrians. Both Aqueduct and towpath will re-open on Friday 14th March 2025 at 4pm. This is due to the follow-on works required after dewatering and inspection earlier this year. Of course, there will still be plenty of the beautiful 11 mile stretch to explore in Chirk, Llangollen and the Horseshoe Falls.
