The organisations working in partnership to care for the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Trevor Canal World Heritage Site are responsible for setting out the plans to protect and preserve the outstanding universal value of the site for the wider global community and future generations.

Wrexham Country Borough Council is intending to apply for planning permission for a new arrival point and car park primarily for the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Canal World Heritage Site (WHS), and includes: car, coach, and cycle parking areas, pathways for both vehicles and active travel, signage, wayfinding, additional fencing and recreational walking and cycle route to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal via the Trevor Basin.
